“We bought this house seven years ago because we loved the position. We are in the rural village of Tilmanstone but are only a minute from the main road for Sandwich, Deal and Dover. Over the years we have enjoyed updating and extending the house and have really made it ideal for entertaining with the new kitchen and dining room extension. We also put in high hedges to ensure we could also enjoy the garden with friends and family without being overlooked. However we have decided to start a new chapter in our lives and hope another family will be able to take advantage of everything we have done to improve this charming home.

Tilmanstone is an historic village and although remembered for Tilmanstone Colliery, that was in fact in Eythorne over two miles away. The village church dates from the 11th century while the yew tree in the grounds is apparently some 1200 years old. The village hall is the local venue for indoor meetings, events, celebrations and receptions and is an important aspect of local community life. We are not far from Deal with its historic pier, shops, hotels and restaurants and the lovely medieval Cinque Port town of Sandwich with its delightful pubs, restaurants and individual shops while both towns have stations and the high speed train to London.
