“Originally we were attracted to the peace and quiet as well as the size and space available in this wonderful family home. We have always enjoyed the feeling of being out in the country yet we are only two miles from Canterbury city centre with its high street stores, individual shops, restaurants, theatres, schools and universities.

The house backs on to fields and at the front we are adjacent to the Canterbury golf course. It is very secluded and the only sound we hear are the birds tweeting but we can enjoy watching other wildlife which regularly visit the garden. We moved here some 17 years ago when our children were small and it has been a wonderful family home but as they are now grown up we feel it is time to downsize. Over the years we have enjoyed extending the property and creating the annex which could be used for extended family members or for holiday lets to provide additional income.

We have delightful neighbours and a very useful nearby garden centre where we buy all our plants. Fordwich is only about half a mile away and is renowned for its wonderful historic buildings and being the smallest town in England with its own town hall and with the river Stour running through the middle. It also has two excellent Olde Worlds pubs including the Fordwich Arms which has recently enjoyed a renaissance as has a top class Michelin Starred restaurant while Sturry is less than five minutes by car with its mainline station and convenience store."
