Famously the city is home to Canterbury Cathedral, a popular tourist destination for both UK and overseas visitors, as well as a pilgrimage for Christians. One of whom was Geoffrey Chaucer, whose visit inspired the 'Canterbury Tales.' Such is its importance the Cathedral has been listed as a world heritage site.
