Recognising amazing children in Kent
Together with Kent Online and the Kent Community Fund, Wards celebrate the triumphs of inspiring youngsters in music, sport and the arts, alongside those amazing children who’ve performed an outstanding act of bravery while enduring illness or disability. Not to mention, we celebrate the incredible families behind these awesome young people.
Annual Children’s Awards categories
Triumph Over Adversity
An award that celebrates children working to overcome severe disabilities and illnesses. This category is awarded in three age groups: 0 – 5, 6 – 11 and 12 –16.
Going for Gold
Despite disability, this award honours the kids who’ve made great achievements in sports, music, visual or performing arts.
This award applauds the amazing families coping with severe illness or disability and overcoming adversity together.
This award recognises the child or group of children who have gone over and above to raise money for charity.
This category commends the brilliant young carers looking after other family members.
Here we reward charitable and voluntary groups who support children facing challenges in their life.
Brave & Courageous
AKA, The Superhero Award – this category honours the children who’ve triumphed in the face of an emergency and shown incredible bravery and resourcefulness.
How do I enter?
If you want to nominate a special child, group of children, amazing family or charitable organisation who’ve done something incredible, you can do so from 29th May 2019.
You’ve got until 19th July to register, with the winners being invited to the glitzy Hollywood-themed event on 1st November to receive their awards and prizes.nominate now
