About Wards

We’ve come a long way.

Our chairman, Paul Rooney, purchased Ward & Partners in 1991 and formed Arun Estate Agencies Ltd., and today, we provide a wide network of expert services across the whole of the Southeast.

The vision was a simple one: to help our customers move forwards and leave them with a positively memorable experience.

Today, leading Wards and Arun Estates as Group Managing Director is Aldo Sotgiu, who believes it's important that Paul's vision remains at the heart of everything we do.

This simple objective, paired with a company that moves and adjusts to the modern needs of its customers, makes Wards one of Kent's best-loved estate agents.

Wards is what it is today thanks to its passionate team of industry experts, who do all they can to help their customers, their community and leave you with a positively memorable experience.

Supporting our local community

Helping everybody to move forwards

As your local high-street estate agents, we are tightly connected to our communities. We’ve helped thousands of people move forwards on their journeys and we aspire to get more people involved with their local communities too.

Our staff regularly take part in Macmillan coffee mornings, along with fundraising through fancy dress days, marathons and just about anything else you can think of to help raise money for those who need it most.

Last year, we hit the incredible milestone of donating over £10million to charitable causes (and counting!).

2024’s charity partner

The Tree of Hope

This year Wards have selected The Tree of Hope as our charity partner.

Tree of Hope children’s charity helps children and young people with a disability or illness by supporting their families to raise the funds that they need to pay for specialist care that is not freely available through the UK healthcare system.

 Wards of Kent-CY Wards Awards
Celebrating bravery

Wards Annual Children’s Awards

Each year, the Wards Children’s Awards celebrate Kent’s bravest, most inspirational young people and families who have triumphed in the face of adversity and those who have supported them along the way.

Though we weren’t able to host our 18th awards in person last year, as a result of Covid, that didn’t stop us celebrating our seven winners in style. Hosted by Charlotte Hawkins and featuring Marli the Magician,  we celebrate a fantastic night full of laughter and touching stories.

Do you know of a deserving child, young person, family or charity?

The Children's Awards recognise the efforts and achievements of courageous children, their families and the charities and individuals who support them. Nominate someone deserving today.
